The two Pokémon games: Let's Go promise to link the Switch to the augmented reality universe of Pokémon GO!
All players eagerly awaiting a return of Pokémon on the Nintendo Switch should be thrilled, since The Pokémon Company has announced the arrival of three new games: Pokémon Quest, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Evoli! And as their name suggests, these two titles are closely related to the Pokémon GO augmented reality mobile game.
Developed by Game Freak, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Evoli! bring back the classic RPG style of the Pokémon saga on the Switch, and are also very much inspired by Pokémon Yellow Version: Pikachu Special Edition, originally released in Japan in 1998 and become a standard meter of the series. But the two titles also use more modern elements, like the capture system inspired by Pokémon GO.
If you can of course use the Joy Con for capture, The Pokémon Company has also created the Poké Ball Plus, a Poké Ball shaped accessory that can be used with Switch titles ... but also with Pokémon GO! Like the ephemeral Pokémon Go Plus bracelet, the Poké Ball Plus will inform you of the proximity of a beast in Pokémon GO. But it will especially transfer your creatures caught in Pokémon GO on the game Switch, and vice versa! The Pokémon Company promises to reveal more details about possible interactions in the near future.
The other game announced, Pokémon Quest, is available today even on the Switch, and this for free, even if add-ons fee may be expected. This mini-RPG takes the world of Pokémon with a very Minecraft look and it should also debut soon on iOS and Android. Finally, in order not to let the fans sleep, The Pokémon Compagny has announced an upcoming Pokémon RPG for the "main series" for the end of 2019!
