It won't be long until you can touch and feel Android creator Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone smartphone device, as customers recently reported they received shipping details from Essential.
Last week, Essential told customers that the Essential Phone entered mass production, and Andy Rubin confirmed the launch date to be "in a week." That week is now up and it looks like the company keep on its promise, started sending emails to users with shipping information.
9to5Google reports that they received an email from Essential, where the company states it will ship the device to customer's address within the next seven days. "Great news! Essential Phone (Black Moon) is starting to ship. We now just need your payment details and we will ship within 7 days."
Essential Phone coming as "Black Moon" variant first
These emails were apparently sent to customers who pre-ordered the Essential Phone, which will first be delivered in "Black Moon" variant as Essential is still manufacturing the "Pure White" model at the moment of writing, giving customers the option to change their order from "Pure White" to "Black Moon."
The Essential Phone promises to be a startling device crafted using titanium and ceramic materials. It features a gorgeous edge-to-edge 5.7-inch display with a 2560x1312 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core Kryo 280 chipset, an Adreno 540 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, and 128GB internal storage.
Dual 13 MP camera is available on the back of the device, and an 8 MP front camera is present on the front of the smartphone, which features a powerful, yet non-removable 3040mAh Li-Ion battery that should last you a full day in normal use. You can pre-order an Essential Phone from the official website.
