OnePlus has just confirmed that the 128GB OnePlus 3T (Gunmetal) variant will become available again, soon. For those of you who do not know, the 128GB OnePlus 3T is currently not available for purchase, and it has been like that for a couple of days now. We’ve seen various reports claiming that this variant of the device has been discontinued by the company, as the OnePlus 5 is on the way. Well, that is not true, it seems, as OnePlus just confirmed that the 128GB storage variant of their flagship is coming back, read on.
This information was shared by BGR India, as the site reached out to OnePlus for a comment following aforementioned reports. “We will continue providing OnePlus 3T 128 GB Gunmetal to the market in the future,” said OnePlus, while the company also confirmed that the 64GB storage model is still available, and will remain to be available for those of you who’d like to get it. Now, do keep in mind that the Midnight Black variant of the phone (also a 128GB model) is not coming back, as that was a limited edition variant of the OnePlus 3T, and the company sold out all manufactured units. The 64GB OnePlus 3T model can be purchased in the US for $349, while it costs €349 in Europe (in most countries at least). Now, if you’d like to get the phone in India, you’ll have to set aside 29.999 ($464).
The OnePlus 3T was originally announced back in November last year, as a new variant of the company’s OnePlus 3 flagship. The OnePlus 3T has a couple of advantages over the OnePlus 3, but the two devices look the same. The OnePlus 3T came with a more powerful SoC, a better front-facing camera, a larger battery and a sapphire glass protection on top of its rear-facing camera. The OnePlus 3T sports a 5.5-inch fullHD Optic AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core SoC. A 16-megapixel OIS snapper can be found on the back of this phone, and a 3,400mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package.
